Yunfei Tian

I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Hong Kong (HKU), advised by Prof. Edmund Y. Lam.

Before joining HKU, I worked as an algorithm engineer at Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. on smartphone camera vision and intelligent manufacturing, including object detection and tracking, semiconductor virtual metrology, and wafer map classification.

I also worked at CARIAD, Volkswagen Group China on contactless in-cabin health monitoring from cockpit camera signals, combining face analysis, physiological signal processing, and real-time health indicator estimation.

I received my M.E. in Optical Engineering from Nanjing University, supervised by Prof. Fei Xu, and my B.E. in Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering from Shandong University, with earlier work in Fourier ptychographic microscopy, super-resolution microscopy, and fiber-based single-pixel imaging.
